Founded in 1920 the Angst+Pfister Group with its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, is a globally operating enterprise with around 1,500 employees in wholly owned subsidiaries in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Turkey and China.
The Angst+Pfister Group offers customised engineering solutions and high-tech components for a great variety of industrial applications in sealing, vibration, fluid, plastics, drive and sensors technology, boasting over 60 years in the railway industry. In addition, Angst+Pfister offers profound raw material expertise and many years of experience in high tech compounding for various applications and, most recently, its own high-tech compounds for sealing technology.
A global production platform combines its own capacities with reserved capacities at certified production partners in order to guarantee the best solutions for customer-specific requirements, the right quality standards and the best price in each case. Furthermore a global logistics centre allows to offer just-in-time, kanban and supply chain management solutions.
Angst+Pfister is a leading compounder, developer and manufacturer of high-performance anti-vibration solutions for rolling stock, specialising in bogies and floor supports components. The company offers special floating floor solutions for rolling stock, such as rubber-metal floor support, fast assembly floating floors and high-isolation floating floors.
Floating floor supports increase passenger’s comfort. They are especially developed to absorb external vibrations and compensate for the car body elongation during transit, while keeping weight at a minimum. Our “pick-and place” solution provide with tailor-made interfaces between the floor and the car frame, resulting in additional assembly time savings.
Our higher process reliability due to the glue-free floor support exhibits a strong advantage. Many floor supports in the railway market propose glued-PUR-metal solutions, in detriment of an extended assembly time and certification requirements. Angst+Pfister’s adhesive-free solution provides with assembly time savings up to 30% and no certifications.
Angst+Pfister innovative solutions in floating floor technology lays within our pioneering rubber-metal design approach, allowing for ultra-fast installation and maintenance-free products. Our extensive know-how and expertise in the railway field results in short time to SOP, easy customisation and dedicated compounding efforts, allowing for tailor-made damping properties and fire certifications.
All in all, Angst+Pfister provides with complete system solutions minimising the total cost of ownership and with high flexibility in assembly strategies. Angst+Pfister additionally offers solutions for automatic height adjustment and solutions to avoid floor levelling.
